Guests arrive to the Barr Mansion, an unexpected, truly stunning venue, ready to celebrate the marriage of Katie and Manas!
As each wedding guest enters and approaches the venue, a chalk board sign reads 'Welcome to our first evening as The Babbilis. As they continue around the pecan tree, they are greeted by an 18-foot custom champagne wall hand-painted reading 'Katie and Manas' in a beautiful script. The wall is navy and the type is ivory, the champagne flutes are full and ceremony is near.
Guests grab a glass, take in the scenery and find their seat. The seats are in a half-moon around the tree - creating the perfect viewing spot from every chair! Soft violins play in the background as everyone arrives and finds their place. The music switches and it is time for the big reveal - Katie enters from the back of the garden, making her way down the lantern-lined aisle straight to her future husband. She is radiant and the most beautiful person Manas as ever seen. Above their heads, in the large pecan tree, hang lanterns garnished in florals as they have their first kiss. They exit the ceremony hand in hand, grinning from ear to ear!
Guests make their way down the winding path excited to continue the celebration and head to cocktail hour. Along their way are 3 acrylic hung signs taking guests on their personal journey - the first sign mentions their meeting in Dallas, the second about falling in love in NYC and the third about starting their life together in Chicago and now guests are at cocktail hour in Austin, TX! At cocktail hour, curated lounges of velvet couches, comfy chairs, brass tables and pattern pillows fill the outdoor space.
Guests hurry to the outdoor bars to sample the signature cocktails while others find the hand painted corn hole boards! A little friendly competition begins and talk of the gorgeous ceremony that they just witnessed continues!
Guest make their way to the escort wall that can not be missed! A custom wall reads 'life can be mild sometimes. let's spice up the night!' with two coral armoires lined with small jars filled with Indian spices. They locate their jar to find their table!
Guests make their way into the farmstead where dinner is served. The room is made up of gorgeous exposed wood farm tables and linen-draped rounds and light dinner music is being sung. After locating their table name on the mezcal wall, they find the corresponding table, for example, 'Russia' where the couple had an amazing recent trip. Each table is a name that has a meaning or purpose behind it - the story can be read at each table. At each place setting, are all white plates with a draped white linen napkin tucked under the charger and cascading off the table.
As soon as the newlyweds enter the farmstead, they have their very first dance on a gorgeous rug in the center of the room. First dance is followed by the father-daughter dance and mother-son dance for all to enjoy. The musician passes the microphone over to Willie for the blessing, Manas and Katie cut the cake and family-style dinner is served. Once dinner has concluded, the musician gets everyone on their feet and sings his way into the ballroom with the entire wedding following behind him.
Before the wedding guests make it to the ballroom for a night full of good times and dancing. The lead singers hop on the stage with a custom wallpaper wall backdrop and immediately starts cranking up the music and the hype! Above the band are strung bistro lights paired with massive vases and candles in the corners of the stage creating the most romantic atmosphere. The bars are strung in greenery, lit with candles and accompanied by quirky cocktail napkins!
The dance floor is raging, light up sunglasses are worn, flashing ice cubes in drinks and maracas are being shaken! Ain't no one about to sit down!!
But, for when they need a quick break, another gorgeous sitting area is against the windows, high top tables are shimmering of candles and the grotto area is glimmering in the distance with a neon sign. Outside the ballroom, the cocktail hour bar is still set-up, the lounges are available along with wine infused popsicles in the insulated trike for guests to cool off from the dance floor!
What an incredible night of dancing, drinks company and love! It's time for the grand exit of the newlyweds! As they make their way through the tunnel of cheering wedding guests with the horns section of the band following behind them, maracas and sparklers. And all leave think about how it was a freaking awesome night!!
A closer look!
