Guests arrive at the Marie Gabrielle gardens for a special evening celebrating the Khan's!
As they enter the gorgeous gardens, they are guided down the paved sidewalk by tall structures resembling lamps with silk, jewel tone ribbons cascading off the top.
Cocktail hour is in the side private garden off the main dining room. Within the cocktail garden, bistro lights sparkle above guests heads while a sitar musician creates a warm and welcoming ambiance for all. Guests can grab a cup of hot tea or order a drink from the bar. The hot tea has custom tea bag tags hanging off of the tea cup reading '40' in a gorgeous script. Those who make their way to the bar can order cocktails from the custom menu or order a glass of wine.
When wine is ordered, the bartender turns behind himself with a pair of gold scissors and cuts a wine glass off of beautiful jewel toned ribbon to pour the glass of wine. The wine glasses have been hung upside down and tied with ribbon to a frame behind the bar! It is creating a decor element and a functional element to hold the stemware!
Also in the cocktail garden, is bistro style seating with fresh blooms atop of each table and two small curated lounges. The lounges are made up of midnight blue velvet love seats & chairs with gold accented side tables and small bud vases of fresh blooms. Friends and family enjoy the cocktail garden, lounge with friends and wander throughout rest of the gardens with a hot tea or glass of wine in hand.
It's time for guests to find their dinner seat! As family and friends enter the indoor dining room they immediately smile at the 20 foot long photo gallery wall as the background for dinner on the opposite side of the glass windows! This wall has been hand stenciled in a gorgeous gold ornate pattern from top to bottom with 40 printed and framed photos of The Khan's!
Everyone makes their way down to admire photos from the last 40 years - all printed in the same sepia tone and framed in matching thin gold frames. After the walk down memory lane, guests locate their seat assignment with printed name cards. At each place setting is a gold pebbled charger, a bamboo color napkin knotted to the side, and a simple thank you card for their daughter & son. In the center of the table draped in ivory linen are low, exotic flower arrangements in gorgeous shades of plum, fuchsia marigold, burgundy and leafy greenery. Accompanying the flowers are burgundy tapered candles that continue to warm the space.
Before the four-course meal is presented, the daughter & son welcome guests to their parents 40th anniversary, to the date! Before dinner is over, Mr. & Mrs. Khan thank all of their closest friends and family for coming to celebrate and cut the cake! The night has finished and guest are handed boxes tied with silk jewel toned ribbon and a tag reading 'Amin and Suriaya celebrate 40 years'. On the way home guest open their favors to find a delicious biscotti and two personalized tea bags!
